Global Money Week a success

ORANJESTAD - A Global Money Week event was organized recently and was attended by 730 students from 9 primary and secondary schools who all had the opportunity to experiment with money.

Organizers of di Global Money Week and Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Culture Mrs. mr. Xiomara Ruiz-Maduro.During the Global Money Week Event, participants learned the basic principles of financial management, like how to make money, responsible spending of money, saving and investment but also how to give back to the community. This will help the children to wisely use money.

Participants Global Money WeekGlobal Money Week is an event held by the Central Bank of Aruba in collaboration with other banks and organizations like social institutions, with the goal to help teach the children the real value of money.
Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Culture Mrs. mr. Xiomara Ruiz Maduro did the official opening of this event.

Participants Global Money WeekSuch incentives are very important and the Government of Aruba is very thankful to the Central Bank for this event. The Innovation Bureau of the Government did also contribute to the event and provided the M-Bus, which played an important role providing the attendees with the opportunity to experiment with technology such as special printers. It is important to teach the children about technology to be well prepared for the future.
