“Kidpreneur$ With BIG Ideas” with SDG presentation at Traimerdia Noord

ORANJESTAD - The “Kidpreneur$ With BIG Ideas” program continues this year and will take place at the Traimerdia in Noord.

Students of Traimerdia at the Washington primary school play  a table game created by the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) in combination with ELYX by Yak.The objective of this program is to encourage pupils attending classes 5 and 6, in primary school, to think about the possibilities of entrepreneurship in the future. The Kidpreneur$ With BIG Ideas is a workshop that creates awareness among students of the global goals for Sustainable Development (SDG’s) and teaches them how to use these goals on a daily basis.

On March 20,  2019, the students of classes 5 and 6 of the Traimerdia at the Washington primary school received an adapted presentation and later played a table game created by the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) in combination with ELYX by Yak. This game was used to familiarize them with the global objectives.

The students were eager to answer the game’s questions with the knowledge they had.

IDEA will continue to organize additional workshops for all Traimerdia in order to stimulate Kidpreneurship among the children. The SDG’s workshop was presented by Gisela Kadir, policy officer for the Sustainable Development planning of the Department of Economic, Commerce and Industry Affairs.
