Additional basic products will be temporarily regulated

ORANJESTAD - The Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry (DEACI) announced the temporary regulation of extra basic products due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis.

The following products will be temporarily regulated:

  1. Disinfectants for personal use (hand sanitizers, alcohol) and domestic use (chlorine-based cleaners and wipes)
  2. Electrolytes containing drinks
  3. Toilet paper
  4. Protection gears like masks and gloves
  5. Baby diapers
  6. Baby wipes
  7. Tissues

To establish the maximum retail price, the DEACI is summoning all wholesalers to submit all invoices and costs related to the shipment of the latest container within 24 hours. Please send all documents in digital form to x.boekhoudt@deaci.aw.

DEACI will calculate the maximum retail price of each of the products listed and will publish these prices immediately.

Article 2 and 4 of the Pricing regulations (AB1991 no. GT 17) grants the Minister of Economic Affairs the mandate to demand necessary documents to establish the maximum retail prices.
