ORANJESTAD - In connection with the national celebration of Gilberto François Betico Croes’ birthday, the Ministry of General Affairs, Ministry of Culture and the Commission “Ken ta Betico”, have created a book titled “Danki na Dje” (Thanks to him).

Students of the Scol Washington receive copies of the Danki na Dje book about Betico Croes from the Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Culture, Mrs. Xiomara Ruiz-Maduro.Book for all primary schools

The reason for this book is to educate the children about the history of Aruba so they can understand the present and define their own future.

Students of the St. Anna School receive copies of the Danki na Dje book about Betico Croes from the Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Culture, Mrs. Xiomara Ruiz-Maduro.The Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Culture, Mrs. Xiomara Ruiz-Maduro emphasized that is very important for the young generation to know what Betico did for Aruba. This book will be distributed to all primary schools in Aruba, teachers from classes 1, 2 and 3 will receive a copy each, while the students from classes 4, 5 and 6 will each receive a book to take home.

The book covers the story of Betico Croes, his professional and political career and his ability to bring the community together. ‘Danki na Dje’ contains famous phrases of Betico Croes and information about his achievements for Aruba.

Minister Ruiz-Maduro is grateful to the National Holidays Celebration Commission, the “Ken ta Betico” Commission, Mr. Manolo Giel, Ministry of General Affairs and Ministry of Culture for the creation of this book.
