ORANJESTAD – During a press briefing held on March 10, 2020, the Minister of Public Health and Sports, Mr. Dangui Oduber announced that starting March 11, 2020, a diagnostic/report center exclusively for individuals who have Covid-19 symptoms.

The main objective of this center is to avoid visits to the family doctor’s office or the hospital with the chance of spreading the coronavirus (COVID-19) to other patients in the waiting rooms. Reporting at the diagnostic/ report center is according to the protocols set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

The hotline is exclusively for patients with the following symptoms:

  • Fever;
  • Headache;
  • Dry Cough:
  • Difficulty breathing;
  • If you have symptoms and have recently traveled to any of the risk countries affected with the coronavirus;
  • If you have been in contact with a patient that has been confirmed to have the coronavirus.
