ORANJESTAD- The Department of Infrastructure and Planning (DIP) will hold three information nights where the public will receive information about the soon to be introduced ROPV.

The LRO National Ordinance for Spatial Development stands for ROP and ROPV. The first phase of the ROP has been recently introduced, so the second phase, the ROPV is next. ROPV is a new stage for Aruba, since it is for the very first time such ordinance, as part of a durable development, will be introduced in Aruba.

Many areas have been defined on the ROP map of Aruba, color-coded based on the type of area, areas designated as urban areas, nature or areas for economic development.

With the ROPV, each area will include a destination guideline. These guidelines are included in the ROPV note and guides.

The guidelines are already in place at DIP, and as regulated by law,  to have a ROPV, the same procedures should be followed as that of the ROP.  A ROPV note should be presented, including the requirements for each area, what is permitted and what not. To avoid uncertainties, the DIP is organizing town hall meetings to provide all information regarding the ROPV. At the town hall meetings the public can ask questions and express their concerns or opinion, that will be included in the nota.

ROPV Town-hall meetings will be held on the following dates:
