Police of Aruba: Aruba under curfew

ORANJESTAD - The Police Department of Aruba has announced that they will be enforcing the curfew that starts on Saturday 21 of March 2020 at 9:00 pm.

Some exceptions require being outside during the curfew, like security personnel, hotel employers, waste management, etc. but they have to send an official company letter by email to cmo@crisis.aw requesting an exemption. The company letter should include the logo, name of the particular employee and his or her ID and should be signed by the company director or acting director or by the Human Resources Manager.

This exception procedure does not apply to first responders and State companies.

Failing to show the approved letter of exemption or refusal to comply with the mandatory curfew will result in a penalty of up to AWG. 10.000,-

Any establishment failing to comply with the mandatory closing time of 9:00 pm will be fined and this can be up to AWG. 1.000,-
