ORANJESTAD - The Social Insurance Bank of Aruba, SVb is announcing changes in the procedure for sick notification.

In connection with the possible entrance of the Coronavirus in Aruba, the SVB has decided to change the process of sick notification for suspected patients with the coronavirus. Any employee that needs to call in sick due to respiratory difficulties, has traveled over the past 14 days or has come in contact with anybody confirmed with the Coronavirus, needs to call the family physician first. After this call to the family physician, the employee needs to call the SVB and call in sick. Please do not use the online service for this notification.

Employees of the private sector need to call in sick by calling the SVB call center at phone 5272782 from 7:00 AM to 12 PM and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and NOT online.

Public (government) workers can call in sick at the SVB’s medical administration department from 9:30 AM by calling 5272744. Sick notification related to the coronavirus cannot be done through the web portal.
It is important to state that the adapted procedure is only applicable for coronavirus related notifications and not for any other medical condition.

The procedure for sick notification due to any other medical condition remains unchanged for both the public as private sector.

We work together on an informative, accessible and user-friendly Government Portal for Aruba.
