The Public Prosecutor will auction confiscated boats

ORANJESTAD - On 5 February 2020, the Public Prosecutor will be auctioning different boats that have been seized by the coastguard and are currently stored at the Dutch Marine base in Savaneta.

Storage of these boats is no longer required and the Public Prosecutor can auction off these boats to the highest bidder. Those interested can register the latest on February 4, 2020, at 4:00 pm at the Public Prosecutor by emailing their name to ann.angela@omaruba.aw. They can also register by calling Mrs. Ann Angela at 521-4135, only on January 31, 2020, and Tuesday, February 4, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Those who have registered either by email or by phone can visit the Dutch Marine base in Savaneta on February 5, 2020, between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm to view the boats and make their written offer for their selected boat.

Having a valid ID is mandatory.

Highest bidders will be notified on Thursday, February 6, 2020. Payments should be completed at the office of the Public Prosecutor located at the Rumbastraat 29 in Camacuri. Only cash payments are accepted. The Public Prosecutor’s office is open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am and 11:30 am and from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

Purchased boats can only be picked up with the proof of payment, purchase agreement and a valid ID. All purchased boats should be picked up at the latest on February 12, 2020. Hauling of the purchased boat is at the owner's expense. All boats are auctioned “as is where is” and the Public Prosecutor is not liable for any purchased boat.
