Aruba celebrates #Erasmusdays 2019

ORANJESTAD - The Department of Kingdom Relations and European Union in collaboration with the Department of Education in Aruba, will organize for the very first time #Erasmusdays in Aruba.

Since 2017, Europe and the world have been annually celebrating the achievements of the projects funded by France’s National Agency for the development and implementation of the European Union Erasmus+ program. This year the celebration of the #Erasmusdays will be on October 10,11 and12, 2019.

Based on the great success of Aruba as an overseas territory of the European Union with this funding, an informative event will be organized in connection with the #Erasmusdays 2019, for all school principals and school management. This event will be held on October 15, 2019, as the above-mentioned dates fall in the school vacation period.

This event takes place in the auditorium of the Colegio EPI and is intended to provide information to the schools of the existing opportunities for their institution, teachers, and students.

A presentation is held on October 15, 2019, by the above- mentioned departments including some important stakeholders, like the University of Aruba, CEDE Aruba and EPI. 

They will share their experience, success, and challenges that come with the development of projects and the procedure for receiving subsidies.

This event is officially registered on the website of the #Erasmusdays celebrations, of the European Commission in the hope of sharing Aruba’s success with the world.


Logo Erasmusdays 2019Erasmus+ is a subsidy program of the European Union available but not limited to academic institutions, schools, voluntary organizations youth organizations, and sports organizations.

Specific projects create individual mobility between participating countries but can also finance strategic development cooperation projects between institutions and organizations for among others innovation and management reform. There is also the possibility to subsidize specific management development of the Government in the labor sector for young people.

The current financial cycle of the European Union for 2014-2021 has more or less €14.7 million available and this will be doubled to €30 million for the financial cycle of 2021-2027.
