Aruba reached zero active cases of COVID -19

ORANJESTAD – The Department of Public Health (DVG) and the Government of Aruba were notified on May 28, 2020 that the last person in the ICU with the COVID-19 virus tested negative.

This means that there are no more active virus in his system. He is now recovering at the Dr. Horacio Oduber Hospital.

Cornavirus cases in Aruba May 28, 2020The number of recuperated person now increased to 98 and at this moment there are zero active cases on the island.

Department of Public Health and the Government of Aruba congratulate the entire crisis team for their support and advice that helped the government take the best decisions. Special thanks also go to the front liners and the entire community for the trust in the capabilities of our professionals and for following their advice and instructions.

Now we have to continue to apply our preventive measures as recommended by the DVG, namely social and physical distancing, frequent handwashing and staying home when having symptoms and consulting you family doctor.  

Once again, congratulations to the people of Aruba for their shown discipline and solidarity during the past weeks. United we conquer.
