Aruba registers second confirmed case of Monkeypox

ORANJESTAD- The Department of Public Health (DVG) has confirmed that the second "suspected" case of Monkeypox has been confirmed positive.

On August 22, 2022, Aruba registered the first confirmed case of Monkeypox.

The second suspicious case, related to the first one,  is also positive.

Meanwhile, the DVG received the first limited supply of Monkeypox vaccine from the Netherlands. In the upcoming days, the administration of the Monkeypox vaccines will start for those vulnerable. The local healthcare providers will administer the vaccines.
