Book BaluArte presented to the Council of Ministers

ORANJESTAD - Recently, Minister Xiomara Maduro presented the book BaluArte to the Council of Ministers of Aruba.

BaluArte is a book that documents the history of individuals and organizations who had a significant contribution to the cultural development in Aruba over the past 65 years.

Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Culture and the book BaluArteThe book BaluArte contains information about many cultural legends, including the authors of the national anthem of Aruba, Mr. Padu Lampe, Mr. Rufo Wever, and Hubert Booi. Many local artists are considered cultural legends who share their stories in the book. A variety of photographs accompany the history of every individual that will bring everybody back in time. The book contains the history of among other Mrs. Bernadina Growell, Mrs. Maybelline Arends- Croes, Mr. Jossy Brokke, and Mr. Robert Jeand’or.

The book also contains the history of some NGO’s that have been actively promoting our cultures, like Cas di Cultura, Rufo Wever’s Music School, and UNOCA.
