Ms. Bermudes from the "Centro di Hoben y Famia" explained that the "Centro di Hoben y Famia" is a preventive department of DAS, which is also collaborating with this pilot project. DAS and DPL started with some sessions for everyone looking for a job.
Those in need of a job can register with DPL to attend these sessions and learn a bit more about working on personal development, addressing all the facets that are essential for those looking for a job, and better preparing themselves for interviews. The "Centro di Hoben y Famia" will have 2 facilitators who will be part of this pilot project, providing essential information and assistance to everyone looking for a job.
A 5-week workshop will be conducted by various facilitators, focusing on fundamental questions like "Who am I? What do I want? What can I do? What do I like?" to help participants discover their talents and qualities. They will also receive instruction on their rights as employees and their responsibilities during the course. At the course's end, each participant will receive a certificate of recognition.
This initiative is crucial because, despite low unemployment in Aruba, the government is committed to helping anyone looking for a job and not finding it. The government wants to assist those who are unemployed in finding a job and help them maintain employment.
At the end of the "Personal and Labor Progress Course," DPL will ensure that each participant gets interviews with more than one potential employer.
