Coming soon: firearms collection event

ORANJESTAD - The Public Prosecutor's Office and the Aruba Police Force (KPA) plan to hold a firearms collection event to combat illegal possession of firearms.

During this period, persons can hand in their firearms to the police anonymously and with impunity.

The purpose of the collection campaign is not to solve cases, but to get firearms off the streets. For some time there have been calls from society to hold a firearms collection event. The last similar action took place in 2009.
