The minister of Tourism and Public Health, Dangui Oduber and the Minister of Transport, Integrity, Nature, and Elderly Affairs, Ursell Arends, attended the start of the conference.
Various local and international speakers from the healthcare sector participated in the conference. The Public health Inspectorate organized this conference to establish a neutral and inclusive platform where healthcare providers can share ideas, challenges, and solutions with one another.
During this conference, the stakeholders reflected on the best practices and lessons learned within the Aruban healthcare sector over the last five years. Numerous keynote speakers and different healthcare professional groups gave presentations on several topics.
The five topics were:
- Leadership;
- Organizing Quality of Health Care;
- The Learning Organization;
- Communication in Health Care;
- Collaboration in Health Care.
During the conference, the stakeholders discussed five core topics, identified by the Public Health Inspectorate as playing a crucial role regarding complaints and potential calamities.
At the end of the conference, they will summarize all the essential points brought forward and make these concrete agenda points for the coming years. They will share this information and hope it will continue after the conference.
The goal is for Aruba to have efficient, effective, and sustainable health care. The ministers congratulate the Inspectorate of Public Healthcare Aruba on their anniversary and for the efforts and hard work in organizing this conference.
