Customs closed in connection with Ascension Day and a mandatory ATV day

ORANJESTAD - Customs informs that their offices will close regarding Ascension Day and a mandatory ATV day:

  • Thursday, May 18, 2023, on Ascension Day;
  • Friday, May 19, 2023, concerning a mandatory ATV day.

All services for customers and the public, in general, will resume on Monday, May 22, 2023, starting at 7:30 a.m.

The Aerocargo Department of Customs is requesting reminders from customers:

  • Customs will close on Thursday, May 18, 2023, on Ascension Day and on Friday, May 19, 2023, a mandatory ATV day.To submit their requests on time to avoid unnecessary inconvenience;
  • To take into account the necessary import permits for importing medicines, vegetables, and fish, among others;
  • for temporary imports, an import permit is required. You must submit the first application to the Technology Department) of Customs on time. After obtaining the temporary import permit, you must submit it to the Aerocargo section along with the import declaration;
  • Customs will only handle and deliver cargo that falls under the urgent category, such as frozen goods, genuine flowers, and medicines.
