ORANJESTAD - COVID cases are rapidly increasing with between 100 and 150 new ones in the past few days.

It is challenging for the DVG to process all the positive results quickly and may result in the DVG contacting the individuals who tested positive in 1 or 2 days.

The DVG urges everyone who tested positive to comply with the following rules:

  • Isolate yourself, avoid contact with others to avoid spreading the virus;
  • be pending for the intake phone call from the DVG, including contact tracing for the past days;
  • have the contact list readily available when asked;
  • if you were in close contact with others while not wearing a mask, not socially distanced for 1,5 meters for longer than 15 minutes, you should add this person as well on the contact list.

The DVG asks the community to be patient and to cooperate and comply with these rules.
