Dog Control Center now with extended opening hours

ORANJESTAD - Starting August 1, 2022, the Dog Control Center (CCC) will have extended opening hours to deal with the cats and dogs left at the center.

Now, the Dog Control Center will be open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The extended opening hours will also allow the public to adopt a pet and hopefully encourage more people to adopt pets.

Adopting a pet is the most responsible decision since this will help solve the stray dog problem.

The National Plan for Stray Animals (NPSA),  announced in April 2022 by Minister Ursell Arends, focuses on education and awareness of the stray dog problem. It also addresses the responsibility of pet owners and helps control the pet population.

The CCC also helps educate and inform the community on the proper care of their pets.

With the community's help, we can control the unwanted pet population.
