Dog Law Drawing and Coloring Contest

ORANJESTAD - This year marks the fourth consecutive year the government will organize the children; coloring and drawing contest.

The aim is to help children express themselves and teach them about dog law in Aruba.

This year, the Minister of Justice and Social Affairs, Mr. Rocco Tjon, presents the coloring and drawing competition 2022 on August 26, 2022, on International Dog Day.

The participation form consists of three pages:

  • Page one of the forms is the instruction page and contains the information necessary to participate;
  • page two contains the coloring page that children can color according to their imagination;
  • page three is designed for participants to show their creativity with their drawings.

These drawings must be original, and the traffic sign must illustrate one or more aspects of the dog law. Children should color these drawings without assistance from relatives.

The Dog Law 2022 Painting and Coloring Contest's objective is to create awareness in the community and children regarding the proper care of pets.

The last day to submit the participation form is September 22, 2022. Winners will be drawn from each class and announced on October 4. The winners will receive a gift on International Animal Day.

Participation is free and open to all elementary and junior high school children. (1st Kindergarten through 6th grade) Schools have already received the forms via email to distribute to all students in their schools. You can download these forms from the website
