ORANJESTAD - The Department of Labor Progress oversees 3 departments: Employment and Reintegration (Jobcenter), Labor Market Registration (AMR) and Labor Market Admissions (Admissions).

The Labor Market Registration (AMR) works on the basis of demand (list of required employees) according to the Labor Market Registration form filled in by employers.

This serves as a tool for the DPL to work on projects based on labor market supply and demand for the coming year.

This is important for the DPL's planning as it allows them to work with schools, educational institutions and employers to produce enough local workers. Without the approved form, the employer cannot conduct the hiring process in accordance with the policies of the other departments within the DPL. AMR is the first requirement of the DPL that all employers must meet.

The DPL urges employers to fill out online the new Labor Market Application Form 2021 correctly and in as much detail as possible. During the year, there is always the possibility for changes to the list of required employees. Changes can be made for projects that require a larger number of employees or for unforeseen specially skilled workers, but these changes must be realistic.

The requirements for submitting the Labor Market Registration are listed as a checklist on the first page of the submission form. Employers must meet all corresponding requirements relevant to their employment sector in order to submit their form and receive approval.

Employers who have not yet submitted the AMR form can still do so until the end of September 2021. Normally, one must make an appointment by sending an email, but given the fast-approaching deadline, effective September 13, 2021, one must submit the form in person to DPL (hardcopy). Those who submit the form from now until the end of September do not need to make an appointment. You can submit the form from 8:00 am to 11:30 am and from1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and a copy of the first copy so that the DPL can stamp it for receipt.

There are 4 different types of forms for the AMR based on the employment sectors:
