Draft budget 2023 send to Advisory Council for advice

ORANJESTAD - Last week, the government did send the draft budget for 2023 to the Advisory Council for their advice.

The budget 2023 was sent to the CAFt on June 9, 2022, for advice, as indicated in the Financial Supervisory Law.

On June 23, 2022, the CAFT gave its advice to the Government of Aruba, which addressed the issues to initiate the process of getting the concept budget approved. On July 8, 2022, the Council of Ministers signed the budget. Subsequently, they forwarded it via the Cabinet of the Governor of Aruba to the Advisory Council for their advice. The government hopes that the Advisory Council will have their advice ready by early August 2022 for it to be able to make its corrections as indicated by the Advisory Council before sending this to Parliament for their final approval. The government is working hard on having the budget 2023 presented to Parliament before September 1, 2022.
