ORANJESTAD – The Department of Public Health informed the community that they are running out rapidly of the Pfizer Bivalent Covid-19 vaccines.

Aruba recently received a limited quantity of Pfizer Bivalent Covid-19 vaccines to administer as a booster shot to the risk group in our community.

DVG postponed Vaccination with the Bivalent COVID-19 vaccine until further notice. Therefore, the DVG vaccination team with the Crisis Management Office mobile unit was in Noord for this purpose, and their next stop was in Santa Cruz on October 24, 25, and 26, and afterward in San Nicolas.

However, due to significant demand, DVG regrets to inform that effective October 25, 2022, they postponed all vaccinations in the districts since the stock is running out rapidly.

DVG is awaiting more bivalent vaccines from the Netherlands in the coming weeks.

As soon as the vaccines are available, DVG will inform the community and re-assume the vaccination rounds in the pending districts.
