Expo POP ART (Past opposite Present) by Elgin Flanegien

It is his second solo exposition consisting of a collection of paintings by Elgin since 2007 while studying in the Netherlands and new ones.

Elgin enjoys creating his art pieces, not only the painting process.

His inspirations come from classical music and various contemporary artists.

In 2006 Elgin started his Art education at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (HKU) in Utrecht.

After his second year at HKU, Elgin received an Erasmus Scholarship to study at the University of Dundee in Scotland where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, specializing in Art and Digital Media. He admires artists like Picasso, Damien Hirst, and Basquiat. Elgin's paintings emphasize street art like Graffiti, local culture, and contemporary art.

The Minister of Culture Xiomara Maduro recently paid a visit to the exposition and loved Elgin's work. The Minister invites the entire community to visit the Expo at the Cas di Cultura until November 11, 2022.
