During the period between November 22, 2017, and February 23, 2021, Ms. de Kort-Yee has dedicated herself, skillfully and with tremendous dedication and passion to the civil interest of the Aruban community.
Through research reports of the General Audit Chamber, the audit body of Land Aruba, the Parliament is enabled to exercise its control function on the conducted policy of the ministers.
To guarantee the continuity of the Court of Audit, the recruitment and selection of a member or deputy member have become more urgent. Potentially suitable candidates who meet the requirements of the Landsverordening Algemene Rekenkamer Aruba (AB 1998 no. GT 20) will perform an assessment. Upon receipt of that result, the General Audit Chamber will hold personal interviews with each of the potentially suitable candidates. The assessments and interviews will determine to what extent the General Audit Chamber can make a nomination of at least three (3) suitable candidates to the States.
The expectation is to make a nomination around the end of April 2021. If this nomination is not feasible or successful, the Parliament will be informed of the outcome of the recruitment and selection process conducted.
The General Court wishes Ms. Lay Hing de Kort-Yee every success in her future career.
