Healthy Lifestyle Center is a project that has prevention as its principal goal. This center is a partnership between the Ministry of Public Health, the AZV, and the Department of Public Health (DVG).
The goal of this center is to help the community have a healthier and more active lifestyle.
The Healthy Lifestyle Center is located in the IBISA building at the Frankrijkstraat 1 and is open to the public and free of charge. The center has two dieticians who provide tips and nutritional guidance. Besides the two dieticians, they also offer group and individual programs under a sports instructor's guidance.
The vision is to help reduce healthcare costs in the future by changing our current lifestyle. Aruba has a very high percentage of people who have or are developing a chronic illness. The Healthy Lifestyle Center wants to reduce the number of people with chronic illnesses.
The center is open to the public and offers guidance and programs free of charge. Feel free to make your appointment. Soon they will start promoting different programs and activities.
The intention is to have a more efficient quality of healthcare in Aruba that is effective and sustainable.
Minister Oduber is grateful to the AZV for their support in making this project a reality, but also to the PAHO, the DVG, and the National steering group of the NCDs who are working hard to improve the quality of healthcare in Aruba and for their support.
