ORANJESTAD - During the week of October 28 and November 1, 2019, the first edition of the ‘IMMERSE ARUBA INNOVATION WEEK will take place. During this weeklong event, the focus will be on the UN’s SDGs for 2030.

Innovation is important for the development and economic growth of a country. Technology and new ideas will improve and help create new products while service and new processes will benefit the community.

Ad IMMERSE ARUBA INNOVATION WEEK    It is important for the entire community is involved in the innovation development of Aruba.

For this year’s edition, the Government proclaimed the entire week from October 28 to November 1, 2019, as the week for innovation: “Immerse Aruba Innovation Week” where they will present developing innovation projects to the public.

This is the result of the vast collaboration between many organizations that coordinated their own events to create the national plan. FUTURA foundation has a coordinating role and will be publishing the scheduled events.

The private sector, NGOs, public sector, students, entrepreneurs and investors in Aruba will give lectures and workshops on innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes invites the entire community to attend the Innovation Week and to be part of the discussion about sustainability that will be taking place at multiple locations around the island. 

Innovation Week is open to the public. Schools can participate by organizing their own hour of “Immerse” during the innovation week. They can choose topics like innovation, creativity, and sustainability to participate. You can submit additional information or activities on the event so they can add it to the event calendar or send it to FUTURA through their website or Facebook page.
