Kingdom Council of Ministers (RMR)approved the reappointment of Alfonso Boekhoudt as Governor of Aruba.

ORANJESTAD - On November 25, 2022, the Kingdom Council of Ministers (RMR) approved the nomination of the Government of Aruba to reappoint Mr. Alfonso Boekhoudt as Governor of Aruba for another term of six years.

The term of the Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, ends on January 1, 2023. Given Mr. Boekhoudt's experience and knowledge. and respect he enjoys within the community, the government asked him to remain Governor of Aruba for another six years. Mr. Boekhoudt agreed to this request.

The Government of Aruba proposed to the Netherlands the reappointment of Mr. Boekhoudt as Governor of Aruba for another six-year term, from 2023 to January 1, 2029. On Friday, November 25, the RMR approved this proposal. 

Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes, on behalf of the Government of Aruba, congratulated Mr. Boekhoudt on his appointment and thanked him for his willingness to serve community of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
