Last week of the Aruba National Archives 3C campaign

ORANJESTAD – The Aruba National Archives (ANA) informs that this is the last week of its 3C campaign.

The campaign started in mid-June and extended for six weeks in mid-July. The 3C campaign, supported by the Ministry of Culture, encourages the community to submit archival materials, for example, historical documents, photographs, and audiovisual and digital files to ANA.

Campaign 3C -  National Archives Aruba.Marens Engelhard, a former senior archivist of the Netherlands, stated that what we archive today would determine the image future generations would have of our times. Selecting what to archive for the unknown future is a fascinating and responsible task, but not an easy one. Therefore, let it be a joint effort to preserve our history.

The ANA reminds everyone to submit valuable historic material to add to our national archives. Look for historic information, documents, photographs, audiovisual and other material your deceased relatives left behind.

ANA thanks the persons and organization that submitter material. The submitted material consists of digital and hard copy documents, newspaper clipping, and archives of private organizations and government department, photographs, video, paintings, posters, cassettes with radio programs interviews.
