Governor Boekhoudt was received for this occasion by the Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Culture, Xiomara Maduro, at Plaza Libertador G.F. Betico Croes.
After the Aruban flag was raised, the children's choir of the Cacique Macuarima School sang the national anthem with musical accompaniment by Danny Koolman and with sign language by Stella Montsanto. Prime Minister Wever-Croes gave a speech, after which Pastor Andry Jose prayed for the Country of Aruba. Frenk Lorenzo-Croes then read his poem as the absolute winner of Poeta di Patria 2021 (Poet laureate 2021).
Two winners of the festival 'Un Canto pa Aruba su Himno y Bandera' sang a song: John Maynard-Wever (category 7-9 years, 2020) and Caylee Pietersz (category 10-12 years, 2021). The children's choir of the Cacique Macuarima School also sang two songs: 'Mi Aruba' and 'Lama'. In addition, youth from Club di Movimiento held a dance presentation. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the national anthem of Aruba was again sung by the children's choir of the Cacique Macuarima School.
