Minister Maduro received the draft budget 2021 from the Department of Finance

ORANJESTAD – On March 1, 2021, the Minister of Finance Xiomara Maduro, received the Budget 2021 concept from the director of the Department of Finance, Derrick Werleman and Jo-ann Kock, in charge of the budget section.  

The draft budget was finished and handed over to the Minister in a new and innovative format, emphasizing the government’s position on e-Governance.

On March 1, 2021, the Minister of Finance Xiomara Maduro, received the Budget 2021 concept from the director of the Department of Finance, Derrick Werleman and Jo-ann Kock, in charge of the budget section. All official documents for the budget 2021 were handed over on a USB stick instead of the traditional hardcopy documents. The USB contains the law and advises from the different “supervisors” but also includes a visual dashboard providing each parliament member the opportunity to study all the documents. This will make the members of Parliament’s work more efficient and easy.

The Minister is very grateful to the entire team of the Department of Finance for their great efforts in creating the budget 2021 and delivering in a new innovative format.
