Launch national awareness campaign Limpi Limpi (Clean, Clean). The campaign objectives are:

  • APV compliance (push). Enforcement of 'Algemene Politie Verordening' is pivotal for littering illegal dumps prevention.
  • A clean Aruba (pull). A society with a high quality of life and rich economy thrives in a healthy environment. Aruba's natural scenery is fundamental to our tourism. Therefore, we must conserve it to the best of our collective abilities.
  • Waste types separation (pull). Effective waste separation facilitates recycling and appropriate disposal, reducing environmental pollution while conserving valuable resources through the responsible reuse and processing of materials.

The government subsidizes waste processing temporarily as part of the waste containers in the district's initiative. It is temporary since the government does not own generated waste. As citizens, we must be aware that not every product we purchase includes an end-of-life price. We must buy more conscientiously based on the sustainable development goals for responsible consumption.

The government aims to stimulate waste separation habits based on waste types. During the waste container dates, they will accept green, metal, e-waste, recyclable construction, and bulk waste. The waste containers are only for residential waste, NOT commercial waste.

We work together on an informative, accessible and user-friendly Government Portal for Aruba.
