More Covid-19 strains detected in Aruba

ORANJESTAD - Aruba sends all their positive Covid19 test results to the Netherlands for further analysis, and according to the Crisis Team, from the 105 tests send, the RIVM confirmed new Covid19 strains in Aruba.

Test results show that 47 more people were infected with the British Covid19 strain, 2 persons were infected with the South African Covid19 strain, 8 infected with the Mexican strain, 3 infected with the Californian strain, and 1 person infected with the Brazilian Covid19 strain. So far, Aruba registered 97 people who were infected with the British strain.

The authorities urge the community to be extra careful and to comply at all times with the safety protocols like frequent hand washing, the use of hand sanitizer, proper wearing of face masking, and maintaining of social distancing. These Covid19 strains are aggressive and spread faster thus can cause serious and complicated health issues and put serious pressure on the health care capacity of the hospital.
