National Plan for Stray Animals (NPSA) announces the winners of the design competition

ORANJESTAD – At the start of April 2022, the government announces the National Plan for Stray Animals (NPSA) to address the problem of stray dogs.

The NPSA will start an awareness campaign soon about responsible pet ownership to control the stray dog population on the island.

For the awareness campaign, the NPSA held a competition among high school students the design an icon or a caricature to serve as the central figure of this campaign.

The winners are:

  • Angelina T. – Abraham de Veer School
  • Juliette M. – Abraham de Veer School
  • Owen C. P. – Juliana School MAVO
  • Gabriel S. – Juliana School MAVO
  • Ciara C. – Ceque College MAVO
  • Most creative design: Yair C. – EPB 

Minister Ursell Arends, in charge of Animal Wellbeing, congratulates the winner, participants, finalists, and the student who submitted the most creative design.

The ministers also thank Minister of Education Endy Croes for his support.
