Normally, the Naturalization Test is administered twice a year. The first round of enrollment takes place in January and the second round in August.
However, in 2020 and 2021, due to the corona crisis, only one round of registration will take place, specifically in August. The Department of Education will announce the exact date as soon as it is known.
As of January 1, 2011, the Naturalization Test consists of a section that tests knowledge of the constitution and society, four sections that test the degree of knowledge of the Papiamentu language and four sections that test the degree of knowledge of the Dutch language.
The Department of Education through its Examination Bureau is in charge of the test, and has no participation in the rest of the naturalization procedure.
For information regarding the Naturalization Test you may contact the Examination Bureau, while for the naturalization procedure you may contact the Cabinet of the Governor of Aruba.
