The MFA’s already accept these payments.
The DIMP will have exceptions for non-commercial payments by seniors older than 60 years. They can only pay in cash at the main office in Camacuri.
Cash payment can create vulnerable situations for criminal activity. With the current pandemic, healthcare authorities urge people to use card payments instead of cash, as cash can be a source for the virus to spread. Additionally, cash payment can cause delays and increases the possibility of errors when very busy.
Online payments
The DIMP encourages online payments by using Aruba Bank or Banco Di Caribe. These banks’ systems are automatically connected with the DIMP’s system. Transactions are registered on the same date in the DIMP’s system. With this, customers have to keep the “cut-off time” of each bank in mind.
When paying online, select the “Bill Payment” option and not “Transfer”.
Debit Card or online payment benefits
There are plenty of benefits when paying with a debit card or online:
- It promotes safety for both payers as DIMP employees.
- It is under the norms stipulated by the healthcare authorities for the benefit of the community.
- It promotes efficiency when providing service. Transactions are quicker and make it possible to attend to more clients quicker.
