Opening customs consultant course for customs brokers and importers

ORANJESTAD- On August 15, 2023, the customs consultant course's (declarant) opening took place. 

The Customs Department, assisted and facilitated by the Aruba Trade & Industry Association (ATIA), gives this course to 32 participants whose jobs include customs clearance tasks and procedures, like filing customs declarations when importing and exporting merchandise in Aruba. 

Opening customs consultant course for customs brokers and importers.In the presence of the Minister of Finance and Culture, Mrs. Xiomara Maduro, the acting director of the Customs Department, Mrs. Corinne Cabenda, the director of ATIA, Mr. Herrick Henriquez, and the instructor of the Customs consultant course, Mr. Marcelito Pablo, the participants were welcomed and given a general explanation of the course‚Äôs content.

Its objective is for brokers and importers to do customs declaration work more effectively and efficiently and comply with all the customs requirements, which facilitates commerce significantly. This course offers many benefits since brokers and importers learn more about the legislative aspect of Customs, like the national ordinance of import, export, and transit, import tariffs, customs value, the Asycuda system, and other customs procedures.
