You can also watch the Book Festival on TV and the internet. The program consists of a 30 minutes welcome speech by the Library’s Director Mrs. Astrid Britten, the Minister of Education, Science and Sustainable Development, dr. Armando Lampe and the coordinator of the project, Mrs. Sra. Yosmar Maduro - Sneek.
There will also be an interview with illustrator/painter of the new children’s book titled “Ora Ubao”, Mr. Elvis Tromp followed by an interview with one of the musicians who produced the festival’s song, Sr. Sergio Silva, and with singer Ambar Silva. There will also be a musical performance of the festival’s song ‘Habri un mundo...’.
Children who want to participate in a competition can find more information on the library’s website. The first week of November, from Monday to Friday, schools can watch the presentations by participating authors and illustrators. All these can be followed on the Library’s website or YouTube channel, and additional information can be found on its Facebook page.
