Since childhood, she was always artistic and creative, which she inherited from her father. Since her father graduated in the arts, art was prominent in her home. Nimia attended workshops at the Rietveld Academy in Aruba and participated in the Aruba Art Fair.

She enjoys Fine Art and paints Murals but also sees herself as an autodidact, always exploring different media and bright colors.

A few years back, Nimia created her brand  Bhop (Bunny Hop), based on her love for bunnies and skateboarding. Bunny Hop refers to the technique in skating called "hop". “I start with a painting and use this image to develop other products with the image created, like T-shirts, mugs, or Kimonos".

“My next project is a painting titled ‘Cursed Saffron’ for the expo Primary Colors at the library. It opens on September 21, 2022, at 5:00 pm.

The expo is open to the public for three weeks, and everyone is welcome during the regular hours of operations of the Library in Oranjestad".
