The competition started on October 4, 2020, on International Animal Day. You can download the information and participation forms on www.specialprojectsaruba.org. You can print it for the children to draw and color in their way to compete. Additional information was available at the 4 MFA’s.
The commission was searching for a central location both in San Nicolas as in Oranjestad that had extended opening hours, where participants could find more information. They approached DOITCENTER and received the necessary collaboration. The company even created a kid's corner designated for the competition. Once the children receive the form, they have the opportunity to draw and color at the kid’s corner while the parents are shopping. Unfinished drawings can be finished at home and later submitted. The children have to complete both sides of the form and draw their favorite mascot.
The deadline for submission of the participating forms is November 5, 2020. On International Children’s Day, November 20, 2020, the winners will receive their prizes.
You can submit the drawings and forms at any of the 4 MFA’s, Animal Shelter, Bestial, Center for Dog Control, and at the Government building Eddison Briesen in San Nicolas and at the customer service desk of the DOITCENTER.
The objective of the Drawing and Coloring Competition is to make the children in Aruba aware and to encourage them to care for animals and to be responsible pet owners.
The commission hopes to plant the seed within the citizens of the future, to have respect, and appreciate pets that are part of our family and daily life.
Encourage the children to participate in this competition.
