Poetry course at the National Library

ORANJESTAD - The National Library of Aruba offers a short poetry course provided by the teacher and poet Lily Clarisa.

Lily ClarisaThis workshop consists of 4 sessions for amateur poets and others interested, age 18 and older, and the instruction language is English.

This workshop starts on Monday, July 19, 2021, and ends on July 22, 2021, and is given from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

During the four sessions, Lily Clarisa will address four top poets from the USA and England (Famous British and American poets) and the different styles and shapes and will present various poetry to discuss. Participants will practice their poetry writing skills.

Poet Lily Clarisa wrote ‘Lost Love Poems’ a collection of poems and also presented her work at the National Library. Another of her work is ‘Illuminated darkness’. She published her collection of poems in 2020 through Brave New Books, ISBN 9789464052107. Lily Clarisa is an English teacher and currently resides in the Netherlands, where she won the ‘Awesome Poet Award’ in 2020. Lily published her work on Instagram #lilyclarisatheartist.
