Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes in-home quarantine

ORANJESTAD - The Government of Aruba of Aruba hereby informs that as of Monday, March 22 until the end of the week, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes has been placed in home quarantine as a precautionary measure.

The reason is that a person with whom she had a meeting last week has tested positive for COVID-19. 

The Prime Minister was administered two doses of vaccine. However, according to the guidelines of the Department of Public Health (DVG), it is recommended to go into home quarantine since 85% of the population has not yet been vaccinated. Besides, the different COVID-19 variants can cause an outbreak.

Minister-President Weaver-Croes notified on Monday that she is feeling well y has no COVID-19 symptoms. Therefore, those who met with the Prime Minister need not worry. The Prime Minister will follow the home quarantine instructions as laid down by the DVG. Her various appointments will largely continue but in digital format.
