Potential COVID-19 cases, based on their symptoms, are invited by the DVG to the Diagnostic Center, with an appointment to undergo testing for Covid-19.
Upon arriving for the appointment, the person will receive hand sanitizer and a mask and are then allowed to enter the waiting area while applying social distancing. The person receives a flyer with the isolation instructions.
Personal data is requested by the administrative staff and once this has been completed the person can get tested. Once the testing is complete, the person can go home with all the information received and an extra mask to be used at home.
Everyone subjected to testing is a potential case and needs to self-isolate at home to wait for the test results. The Diagnostic Center performs between 50 and 60 tests daily and the center is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized thereafter.
The Diagnostic Center urges everyone with an appointment to arrive in time for the test, not too early and certainly not late. Those who arrive too early are instructed to wait in their cars and not outside the testing facility as this unnecessarily creates long lines.
