Since May, the SVb notified the businesses that are eligible for this aid, and they received a timeframe to apply for the subsidy. The salary subsidy covers a maximum of 60% of an employee's monthly income.
The goal of this financial aid is to maintain employment during these times of uncertainty caused by the pandemic, which in turn is beneficial for the Aruban economy. The registration for the salary subsidy for November is open from November 18 to November 25, 2020. The payment will be made daily once each registration is completed and approved.
Employers who have questions can contact the SVb using the MiSVb portal on www.svbaruba.org. For objections, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Employees who wish to receive more information about the salary subsidy can request to see this information with their employers. This is one of the conditions to receive the Salary Subsidy as indicated in article 6, paragraph h of the Ministerial Decree of the Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Culture of May 13, 2020, under the number 681/20, which contains the decision to provide financial aid in the form of Salary Subsidy.
