Remembrance Day on May 4, 2023

ORANJESTAD - As in previous years, the Kingdom will commemorate the fallen during World War II (1939-1945) on May 4 during the National Remembrance Day.

Monument on the square on the A. Lacle BoulevardOn Thursday, May 4, 2023, a ceremonial commemoration will take place at the memorial plaque on A. Lacle Boulevard in memory of those who lost their lives in the service of the Kingdom.

In the morning hours, the Kingdom flag and the Aruban flag will be ceremonially raised and in the evening hours the ceremonial commemoration will take place.
Then several wreaths will be laid, 2 minutes of silence will be held and a poem will be read. After the ceremony, the flags will be lowered.
