Representatives Department of Health attend the CARPHA meeting in Jamaica on behalf of the Government of Aruba

ORANJESTAD - The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) held several public health sector meetings on Tuesday, September 13, and Wednesday, September 14, 2022, in Kingston, Jamaica.

Representatives of the Department of Public Health (DVG) attended the annual meeting about combating breeding grounds, chronic diseases, and communication. During the annual meeting of the Regional Health Communication Network (RHCN), several islands gave presentations about the situation of their respective islands.

The CARPHA wants to support the island members in the future with health promotion and communication in the event of calamities. Its essential purpose is to train representatives and provide technical assistance to assist with coordination and planning to mobilize each island as a member.

The meeting concluded with the "Caribbean moves Initiative"  \launch at Emancipation Park in Kingston.

Public health will continue the fight in prevention for the improvement of the community’s health.
