Young entrepreneurs Pierre y Brittney Koolman will establish their business Cocolishi Studio, in the monument, which will stimulate creativity in our city center.
It was a pleasure to see ex-Botica Aruba fully renovated. Last February, the minister was present to celebrate the renovation of the second floor and patio of the same building, which houses the Koal Restaurant. The house is now fully occupied, giving life to the building constructed in 1925 by Addison Croes.
Minister Maduro, on behalf of the government of Aruba, thanked the Monuments Funds Aruba for purchasing the building in 2015 and designating it in 2016 as a protected monument. They started with the building’s renovation that year and kept the exterior part in its original form. She also thanked the young entrepreneurs Pierre and Brittney of Cocoloshi Studio, and Mr. Raven and Mr. Rensen of Koal Restaurant for believing in the Aruban monuments.
