On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, the slaughterhouse will resume their services by appointment.
For appointments on Tuesday and Thursday (days slaughter takes place), please contact the slaughterhouse at 5224310.
The slaughter service will take place under strict conditions, such as social distancing and agglomeration is not allowed, to avoid large gatherings on the slaughterhouse premises.
Anyone requiring their small animal slaughter service must comply with all safety protocols, with no exceptions.
The slaughterhouse will not provide service to those who refuse to comply with any of the safety protocols, and will be asked to leave the premises.
Everyone should adhere to the following rules:
- The slaughter service will only receive an appointment and must be made in advance by calling 5224310. Prior to the appointment, please provide the number of animals to be slaughtered. No appointment, no service.
- On the appointed day, the farmer will report to the gate at the designated time. If you are late to the appointment, the appointment will be cancelled and a new appointment will be required.
- They verify the appointment once at the gate. Those with a corresponding appointment are instructed to place their animals in the assigned stalls and leave the slaughterhouse property.
- After inspection, the animals are slaughtered according to the rules.
Once slaughter is completed, the owner will be called the same day to pick up the animals at the gate after paying for the services rendered. Payment is only possible by pin or cash in an envelope.
The Veterinary Service stresses that all these protocols are necessary to stop the spread of the virus and help protect lives. These measures are necessary because of the pandemic and to help protect our staff and our clients.
If you have any symptoms on your appointment date, such as a cough, fever or sore throat, you will need to reschedule your appointment.
