Tax Department paid 15.4 million florins tax refund in the first half of 2023

ORANJESTAD – The Tax Department informs that in the first half of 2023, it paid 15.4 million florins in refunds to taxpayers who paid excess taxes.

Building DIMPIn the first six months of 2023, there were 8.286 tax refund cases totaling 15.4 million florins It covers different years, but the highest amounts were payments made concerning income tax for 2019, 2020, and 2021.   

Below is an overview of the tax refunds in the first half of 2023.

Meanwhile, the Tax Department started to issue the definitive tax assessment for income tax 2022, for all those who filed their income tax.

These taxpayers will receive in the coming months the definitive tax assessment for income tax 2022 via mail. Those awaiting a refund and have no other pending taxes can expect the refund on their bank account.

It is crucial to have your taxes and bank information in order. If you change your bank or account, please notify the Tax Department promptly. You can only do it online via  www.impuesto.aw/bankrekeningnummer.
