The Bivalent vaccine as Boostershot is available again.

ORANJESTAD – After the Department of Public Health (DVG) started administering the Bivalent vaccine, it ran out fast due to high demand.

Therefore, the DVG requested the Netherlands to send more Bivalent vaccines.

Bivalent COVID-19 vaccineThe Pfizer Bivalent vaccine targets the sub-variants of the Omicron variant circulating in the community, especially when considering a possible increase in COVID-19 cases now the last months of the year are rapidly approaching.

DVG recommends that residents 12 years and older who have received at least two vaccines get their Bivalent vaccine. The DVG will only administer the Bivalent vaccine as a booster shot. Residents must have received at least two vaccines to get the vaccine. Residents 60 years or older or who have already received 3 or 4 vaccines are also eligible to receive the Bivalent as their next booster shot.

You can receive the Bivalent COVID-19 vaccine at the Section of Infectious Diseases of the DVG located at Avicena straat# 1 in Oranjestad, from Monday to Friday from 8:00 - 11:45 a.m and 1:00 - 3:45 p.m.

You must bring:

  • AZV card, or AZV app;
  • Aruba Health App;
  • valid ID and (if available);
  • the vaccination cards with all vaccinations.
